Highland Single Grain Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Hunter Laing 70cl / 51.7%
An ancient Invergordon 1973 45-year-old single grain whisky, bottled without colouring or chill filtration in 2018 by Hunter Laing for their Sovereign Cask series.
Invergordon is comfortably Scotland's most northerly grain whisky distillery, and spends its days making spirit for owner Whyte & Mackay's blended whiskies. This Sovereign Cask 1973 vintage 45-year-old Invergordon single grain whisky came from cask 15560, a bourbon barrel that yielded 243 bottles at its natural cask strength of 51.7%. These very long-aged grain whiskies are getting pretty scarce nowadays, so this will be a real treat.
