Bottled by legendary London wine & spirits merchants Berry Bros. & Rudd as part of their Exceptional Casks Series, this Glenburgie has been selected as a masterpiece of complexity and intense old-style Speyside flavours: fruit, wax and old leather.
This Glenburgie 1975 is one of just 136 individually numbered bottles from a single 45 year old hogshead. Exceptional indeed.

Tasting Notes
Nose: This wise old Speysider initially gives musty aromas of old leather, dusty attics and cigar boxes, however a little time in the glass, and perhaps a little warmth from one’s hands reveals a deeper fruity side.
Palate: Truly mouthcoating, with an old-style tropical fruit and waxy character building to an immensely complex and balanced experience.
Finish: Long, and shows all the personality this spirit has built up over a near half-century of maturation. Immense, unique and mindbogglingly good.
Ronnie Cox says: “Wow, this has an attractive nose with poised elegance and balance. Highly complex with oaky cornucopia of mature dried fruits and a hint of liquorice denoting great maturity. Outstanding palate and lightly silky in texture. Definitely one for the Desert Island; a cracker!”

Yes, a lovely expression from Ardnmurchan. As young as it is (5yrs old I believe), it tastes twice its maturity!
Very well made, delicious & beautifully complex smells & flavours to savour.
