Distilled at Craigellachie in January 2012 and matured for 10 years before being bottled by Douglas Laing in March 2022 for their Provenance range.

This Speyside single malt was matured in a refill hogshead and bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring. Drawn from a single cask, DL15645 produced a total of 405 bottles.

Douglas Laing's Provenance collection is a range of single-cask and small-batch Scotch whiskies selected to showcase the individual character of their respective distilleries, with bottlings traditionally released without chill filtration or added colouring.

Craigellachie is known for using traditional worm tub condensers, an increasingly uncommon feature in Scotch whisky production. These copper coils sit in large tubs of cold water and provide less copper contact during condensation, contributing to the distillery's characteristically robust and weighty spirit.

Douglas Laing's tasting notes describe candied citrus peels with porridge oats and honey on the nose, followed by thick butter cream, vanilla'd oak and cinnamon balanced with a zesty tang on the palate. The finish lingers with more spice, orange jelly and cream plus buttery oat biscuits.
