This 44-year-old Bunnahabhain 1978 came from a refill Oloroso sherry butt Cask 7638 that yielded 238 bottles at its natural cask strength of 41.5%. Refill sherry is great for Bunnahabhain and these long-aged ones often turn beautifully cognac-esque. This will be a wonderful slow-sipping dram for evening contemplations.
