Distilled at Ben Nevis in July 2014 and matured for eight years before being bottled by Douglas Laing in August 2022 for their Provenance range.

This Highland single malt was drawn from a single refill hogshead, cask DL16322, yielding 406 bottles at 46% ABV. As with other Provenance releases, it was bottled without chill filtration or added colouring.

Douglas Laing's Provenance range focuses on single-cask and small-batch bottlings from distilleries across Scotland, generally bottled at 46% ABV and presented without alteration to the whisky's natural colour or character.

Ben Nevis is one of the relatively few Scottish distilleries to retain traditional wooden washbacks alongside a notably long fermentation regime. These production choices contribute to the weighty, characterful new-make spirit for which the distillery is known, making it particularly well suited to independent bottlings where the underlying distillery character remains prominent.

Douglas Laing's Tasting Notes: Creamy and buttery on the nose, developing attractive spice and toasted oak. The palate is rich and barley-led with dark fruit and gingery spice, followed by a sweeter finish of vanilla, honey and sugar.

Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone!
