Distilled at Ben Nevis in November 2012 and matured for 10 years before being bottled in March 2023 by Douglas Laing for their Provenance range.

This Highland single malt was matured in a refill hogshead and bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring. Drawn from a single cask, DL17310, the release was limited to 332 bottles.

Douglas Laing's Provenance range is dedicated to single cask and small-batch single malt whiskies, generally bottled at 46% ABV and presented without chill filtration or colouring, allowing the individual distillery and cask to remain at the forefront.

Ben Nevis sits at the foot of Britain's highest mountain near Fort William on Scotland's west coast. The distillery continues to use traditional wooden washbacks and draws its process water from the Allt a' Mhuilinn, which originates on the slopes of Ben Nevis. Its spirit is often noted for a weightier, characterful style particularly well suited to independent bottlings.

Douglas Laing's tasting notes describe this release as distinctly sweet and honeyed, with barley, gentle spice and pastel fruit sweets, followed by lingering honey, spice and mocha on the finish.

Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers.
