A single cask 23-year-old Banff single malt Scotch whisky bottled by Signatory Vintage without colouring. It was filled on the 12th November 1980 into cask number 2916, described only as 'oak' so probably a refill cask, and yielded 306 bottles at 43%, so most likely a hogshead rather than a butt. It was subsequently bottled over 23 years later on 13th September 2004.

Banff Distillery was a historic Scottish single malt whisky producer founded in 1824 near Banff, Aberdeenshire. The distillery was closed in 1983 and famously suffered multiple fires and disasters. It is sometimes called the "Mill of Banff" or "Inverboyndie" distillery, and its rare remaining bottles are highly desirable.
