This Signatory 100-Proof 9-year-old Balmenach 2016 came from a small batch of first fill Oloroso sherry butts bottled at the standard 57.1%, equivalent to the old 100 Proof in the UK imperial system. Balmenach is a large but quiet distillery making a muscular wormtub-condensed single malt whisky designed specifically for sherry cask maturation, so this should be a belter.
