An excellent vintage Aultmore bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for their long-running Connoisseurs Choice range. Distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2001, this Speyside single malt was released at 40% ABV during a period when independently bottled Aultmore remained a relative rarity.
Often described as one of Speyside's hidden gems, Aultmore is prized for its clean, grassy and subtly fruity character. Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice series played a significant role in introducing enthusiasts to distilleries that were rarely seen as official single malt releases.
Presented in the classic early-2000s Connoisseurs Choice map label livery, this bottling offers a snapshot of both the distillery and Gordon & MacPhail's influential independent bottling programme at the turn of the millennium.

I really shouldn't share how good this whisky is as I don't want it to sell out. One of the few non sherried releases in this series and therefore quite different from most I have tried before. Absolutely delicious whisky.
