Distilled at Auchroisk in October 2012 and matured for 10 years before being bottled by Douglas Laing in December 2022 for their Provenance range.

This Speyside single malt was matured in a refill hogshead and bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring. A single cask release, just 386 bottles were produced from cask DL16981.

Douglas Laing's Provenance range showcases single cask whiskies from distilleries across Scotland, bottled without colouring or chill filtration to retain the individual character of each cask and spirit.

Auchroisk was built in the early 1970s after a water source at Dorie's Well was identified as particularly suitable for whisky production. The distillery takes its name from the nearby Mulben Burn and began production in 1974, with much of its spirit traditionally destined for blended Scotch whisky.

Douglas Laing's tasting notes describe apple crumble and brown sugar giving way to honey'd barley and fresh oat on the nose, followed by creamy and delicious with thick golden syrup, vanilla custard and allspice on the palate. The finish is long and waxy, with much of what has gone before.

Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone!
