Distilled at Arran in December 2014 and matured for 8 years before being bottled by Douglas Laing in December 2022 for their Provenance Coastal Collection.

This single cask release was matured in a refill barrel and bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring, with an outturn of just 336 bottles.

Douglas Laing's Provenance range focuses on single cask and small batch whiskies from distilleries across Scotland, bottled with an emphasis on natural presentation. The Coastal Collection brings together whiskies produced at distilleries situated around Scotland's coastline and islands.

Arran began production at Lochranza in 1995, becoming the island's first legal distillery for more than 150 years. The distillery was originally known simply as Isle of Arran Distillers, before its whisky operations expanded with the opening of a second distillery at Lagg in the south of the island in 2019. Today, Lochranza is dedicated to the production of the company's unpeated Arran single malt, while Lagg concentrates on peated spirit.

Douglas Laing's tasting notes describe coastal freshness developing into malted barley and lemon on the nose, followed by a creamy, thick palate with salted caramel and gentle spice, and a maritime finish with toasted oak and sweet seaweed.

Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone!
