Distilled at Arran in September 2013 and matured for 8 years before being bottled by Douglas Laing in February 2022 for their Provenance Coastal Collection.

This single malt was matured in a single ex-bourbon barrel and bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring. The cask produced a limited release of 332 bottles.

Douglas Laing's Provenance range showcases single-cask and small-batch whiskies from distilleries across Scotland, bottled with an emphasis on the individual character of the spirit and cask. This release formed part of the Coastal Collection, highlighting whiskies from Scotland's island and coastal distilleries.

Douglas Laing's tasting notes describe sweet, sugary pear drops, crème brûlée, orange peel and barley on the nose, followed by toffee apples, caramelised sugar, fruit gums and rock salt on the palate. The finish brings strawberry jam on buttered toast, toasted oak and gingerbread cake.

Arran Distillery at Lochranza began production in 1995, making it one of Scotland's younger established single malt distilleries. Its generally unpeated spirit is known for a bright, fruit-led character, making ex-bourbon maturation particularly well suited to showcasing the distillery's underlying style.
