Weller Antique 107 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the high strength edition of the historic Weller brand of wheated bourbon, which was invented in 1849 by William Larue Weller and made for made for many years at the legendary Stitzel-Weller distillery.
Today the Weller brand is made by the Buffalo Trace distillery, whose owners Sazerac purchased the Weller brand in 1999, but the special recipe featuring wheat instead of rye as the secondary grain in the mashbill is still going strong. An ideal whiskey for anyone looking to try a cask strength version of this softer, more subtle take on bourbon - without having to pay Van Winkle prices.
