That Boutique-y Whisky Company are really diversifying their offering these days, with their focus currently on world whiskies - this is one of their Spring 2021 Australia Series releases. Thankfully their understated, minimalistic labels remain as recognisable as ever.
Here's a very unusual arrival from Australia's Tin Shed distillery, whose whisky is usually released as Iniquity. Based in Adelaide, Tin Shed make much use of casks from the wineries of the nearby Adelaide Hills region - this particular whisky was originally filled to two small tawny 'port' casks that were subsequently vatted together in a larger wine cask that previously held Australian Pinot Gris.
This Tin Shed 3-year-old has been bottled at 48%, yielding an output of 487 of TBWC's individually numbered 50cl bottles.
Palate: Thick and chewy, red berries and toasted malt.
