A single cask Smogen 2013 10-year-old Swedish single malt whisky bottled without colouring or chill filtration by independent bottlers Adelphi for their Adelphi Selection in 2023, the year of the company’s 30th anniversary.
This 10-year-old Smogen 2013 came from Cask 58, a first fill bourbon barrel that turned out 232 bottles at a very hefty natural cask strength of 58.1%. Smogen is a tiny Swedish distillery founded in 2010 and makes a savoury peated single malt using imported heavily-peated Scottish barley, so this should be a treat.
