This whisky is made up of single malts from Nikkas Miyagikyo and Yoichi distilleries and grain whisky distilled in Nikka's Coffey still.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Dried fruit and caramel sauce – raisins, sultanas and baked apples, drizzled with toffee and served on a polished oak plate. The fragrant fruity notes become waxy and the toffee becomes brown-sugar-dusted brioche with time in the glass.
Palate: Softer than expected from the nose, with fresher fruit notes at the front – apple and pear pies studded with sultanas. Spice builds, with nutmeg and freshly snapped cinnamon sticks joined by hints of clove and polished oak boards.
Finish: A burst of mint slowly fades to reveal linger cinnamon, oak and fresh apple.
Comment: A well-balanced combination of old wood and fresh fruit with spice notes connecting and joining the two.
