Single Malt Japanese Whisky Bottled by: Adelphi 70cl / 57.8%
A single cask Chichibu 2013 7-year-old Japanese single malt whisky bottled in 2023 without colouring or chill filtration by indie bottlers Adelphi for their Adelphi Selection range.
This 7-year-old Chichibu 2013 came from single cask 3090, yielding 210 bottles at a seriously poky natural cask strength of 57.8%, and if you’re wondering how a 2013 whisky bottled in 2023 can be a 7-year-old, it’s because the whisky rested in stainless steel tanks for some time in Japan before being shipped to Scotland for bottling. A young, fruity, Chichibu with a lofty reputation.

Great value bottle from Signatory - full of rich Madeira notes and slight edgy funk of the distillate come together beautifully! Takes water very well.
It’s a good flavour similar to the secret appetite (M) but with even more flavour. You have to add a bit of water to get it to 50% and the flavour is released in full.
