To get us all into the Christmas spirit with lots of Christmas cake flavours, we have a bit of a sherry maturation bonanza with a tasting hosted by the guys from the family-owned Glenfarclas distillery in Speyside.
Now in the 5th and 6th generations of the Grant family Glenfarclas is a true family owned distillery.
Our host from Glenfarclas will be the very knowledgable and well respected Peter Donnelly. He will take us through 6 carefully selected whiskies from the UK range, plus a special mystery dram to end the evening on.
Peter has been Brand Director for Glenfarclas for the past 13 years and has worked in the whisky industry for 25 years, with such brands as Grouse, Johnny Walker and the Classic Malt Range. He has also represented brands such as Jack Daniel's and Woodford Reserve as well as spending 4 years with Ian McCleod Distillers representing Glengoyne and Smokehead. In 2014 he was honoured to be inducted into the role of Keeper of the Quaich.

The tasting will be held on Friday 29th November 2019 at The Imperial Hotel, Blackpool. All attendees should arrive at 19:30 for 20:00 start.
As usual, we will be holding a charity raffle of some whisky related goodies for Trinity Hospice who are based in Blackpool (http://www.trinityhospice.co.uk/). All whisky tasted on the evening will be available to purchase with a 10% discount. Please note that the discount is only available at the event.
