Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: The Single Cask 70cl / 62.3%
You may think what is Ruadh Maor and where is it from? Ruadh Maor is actually peated Glenturret and this is one excellent dram.
This whisky was distilled in 2009 and matured for 10 years in an ex-Caol Ila refill bourbon cask originally from Koval distillery in Chicago. It was then bottled in 2019 at a cask strength of 62.3% and with a yield of just 129 bottles.
This was one of our top picks when tasting some of the current range, a real gem.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Caramelised sugar, smouldering oak, with notes of candied fruits and biscuits.
Palate: Smoky paprika, mocha, barley and red apples.
Finish: A long meaty finish reminiscent of a much-enjoyed barbecue, counterbalanced with a sweet note.
