The Glasgow Distillery Company was founded at the tail end of 2012, building the first new single malt whisky distillery in Scotland’s greatest city since 1902 (if you don’t count Kinclaith, which was part of the Strathclyde grain complex). The first spirit was produced at Glasgow Distillery in early 2015.

The Glasgow Distillery Company also works as a blender and bottler, producing Banditti Club Spiced Rum and Malt Riot Blended Malt, the latter of which also includes some of their own distillate. The company also bottle a range of high-end ‘mystery’ Speyside single malt whiskies under their Prometheus label, garnering several high end awards at international spirit competitions.
