German Single Malt Whisky
Bottled by: That Boutique-y Whisky Company 50cl / 52.6%
A 3-year-old SLYRS German single malt whisky from That Boutique-y Whisky Company's new Norwest-Euro Express range of European whiskies.
SLYRS (pronounced 'shleers') is named after an 8th-century Celtic monastery in Upper Bavaria near the distillery. The first SLYRS whisky was made in 1999 at founder Florian Stetter's family distillery, Lantenhammer, but the whisky's success led to the construction of a separate SLYRS distillery nearby in 2007. This TBWC SLYRS 3-year-old was matured in a crocodile-charred new American oak cask that yielded 395 50cl bottles at 52.6%.
