Swiss Single Malt Whisky
Bottled by: That Boutique-y Whisky Company 50cl / 46.4%
From Swiss distillery HighGlen comes this 3-year-old single malt whisky bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company for the first batch of their Norwest-Euro Express series of bottlings celebrating some of Europe's newer distilleries.
HighGlen distillery is located in owner Lord Gunter Sommer's home near the Swiss-Italian border, with the distillery powered by solar panels on the roof. Apart from the still, Sommer built all HighGlen's equipment himself and matures his spirit in hand-made 100L barrels constructed from ex-bourbon staves with ex-sherry heads. Consequently, just 131 half-litres of this single cask TBWC HighGlen 3-year-old Swiss single malt whisky were released, at a strength of 46.4%.
