A small batch limited edition Springbank 2002 14-year-old Bourbon Wood Campbeltown single malt whisky released by the distillery in 2017 at full cask strength.
This 14-year-old Springbank 2002 was bottled without colouring or chill filtration from a small parcel of fresh and refill bourbon barrels and was a limited edition of 9000 bottles at its natural cask strength of 55.8%. A lovely Springbank that sold out very quickly on release, this one benefits from a small drop of water and develops very nice subtle fruity notes if you have the patience to let it sit in the glass for a while.

Complex with subtle dried citrus, raisins as I would usually like in a sherry cask but something (the smoke, grape skins ? from the sherry cask?) unwelcome reminds me of grappa.
