A bottle of small batch Springbank 18-year-old Campbeltown single malt whisky released by the distillery in 2017, so the whisky would have been distilled at the end of the 1990s.
Bottled at 46% without colouring or chill filtration his 18-year-old Springbank was believed to be an assemblage of 60% sherry and 40% bourbon casks, although this info is not on the label and, as with all the Springbank 18-year-old small batch distillery bottlings, it sold like hot cakes on release and is now highly sought after by Campbeltown whisky fans.

Complex with subtle dried citrus, raisins as I would usually like in a sherry cask but something (the smoke, grape skins ? from the sherry cask?) unwelcome reminds me of grappa.
