An old bottle of the iconic Sherriff's Bowmore Islay single malt whisky, bottled in the distillery's late 1960s heyday.
One of the most famous of the 1960s Bowmore official bottlings, the Sherriff's Bowmore name refers not to any fictional gunslingers patrolling the Islay coast, but to former distillery owners J.B. Sherriff & Co. Ltd, who owned Bowmore between 1925-1950. These old Sherriff's Bowmores are hugely fruity and great fun, with the best examples combining tropical fruit, exotic citrus flavours, saline and minerally notes on a surprisingly plump and luscious palate that belies its 40% strength.
