A single cask 1955 Glen Grant 57-year-old bottled under license in 2012 by Gordon & MacPhail for what is known today as the Distillery Labels range.
This Glen Grant 1955 came from single cask 833, a first fill sherry butt, and like all these ancient Gordon & MacPhail Glen Grant releases this is an utter fruit bomb, jammed to the brim with fruity complexity, soft honey notes and layers of wax, spice, wood and elegant citrus notes. If proof were needed that old whisky is often good whisky these releases from G&M really hammer it home.
