The fifth release in Black Bottle's Alchemy Series is Black Bottle Captain's Cask, a high quality blended Scotch whisky that looks like a worthy addition to the range.
Black Bottle Captain's Cask has been assembled using peated malts finished in rum casks (hence the sea-faring allusions in the name) and aged grain whiskies, and was bottled without chill filtration at a bracing 46.3%, an ideal drinking strength for blends like this.
