Released in Autumn 2022 at a lip-smacking 46.3%, Black Bottle Andean Oak is the third batch of the brand's Alchemy Series, following 2021's Black Bottle Double Cask and Island Smoke in 2021, both of which won Master Awards at last year's Scotch Whisky Masters.
As the name suggests, Black Bottle Andean Oak features whiskies finished for seven months in virgin oak casks made with the South American oak variety Quercus Humboldtii, which is native to Colombia and gives a nutty, spicy character that perfectly complements Black Bottles house style. We've high hopes for this.
