Distilled at Benrinnes in 2012 and bottled by Adelphi in 2026, this 14-year-old single cask release showcases one of Speyside's most characterful and underrated distilleries. Matured in a refill Oloroso sherry butt and bottled at its natural cask strength of 58.3% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring to preserve the whisky's full depth and complexity.
Benrinnes is renowned for producing a rich, weighty spirit with a wonderfully meaty character, making it particularly well suited to sherry cask maturation. A refill Oloroso butt allows the distillery's robust spirit to remain at the forefront, adding layers of dried fruits, toasted nuts, dark chocolate and gentle spice while avoiding the heavier oak influence of a first-fill cask.
Drawn from single cask #300165, this release yielded just 542 bottles, offering an excellent example of Benrinnes' distinctive character and the subtle, balanced influence of refill Oloroso sherry oak.
