A UK Exclusive 2009 Balmenach 14-year-old single cask bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in 2023 without colouring or chill filtration for their Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength series.
This lovely dark golden 14-year-old Balmenach 2009 came from a first fill sherry hogshead cask number 18603404 that yielded 274 bottles at its epic natural cask strength of 61.9%. Owners Inver House issue no official bottlings of Balmenach so these G&M cask strength releases are always a welcome sight, and the distillery's meaty, gutsy spirit thrives in sherry casks, so this should be a spectacular dram.
