Ron La Progresiva De Vigia Mezcla 13 has been assembled by a team of female master blenders (hence the La Progresiva title) from a batch of Vigia casks aged between 11-15 years old and has a very low level of added sugar.
Vigia is an old Cuban rum brand distilled at the Enrique Varona distillery and named after Ernest Hemingway's island retreat. Mezcla (No, not Mezcal) 13 translates as Blend 13, as this was the thirteenth cask combination tried in the search for the right balance. A high class Cuban rum bottled at 41% and ideal for sipping or premium cocktails.

Containing only 5.5 grams of sugar per liquid litre, this fine rum has a dry, mellow character with notes of subtle ripe citrus, deep rich sweetness of molasses and smokey, but smooth woody notes.
