Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Queen Of The Moorlands 70cl / 58.7%
A very young Ardbeg bottled at six years of age by super reputable micro independents The Queen Of The Moorlands. This is gristy, oily, fresh and eyewateringly powerful.
It blows the official 'Very Young' bottlings out of the water.
The Queen Of The Moorlands bottlings have a serious reputation amongst drinkers. They were free to bottle what they wanted and were not reliant upon that side of their business for cash so it means they didn't bottle anything they considered to be substandard.
This Ardbeg is just one of many great examples of this refreshingly free attitude to independent bottling.
