A single cask Springbank 2003 14-year-old Campbeltown single malt whisky released by the distillery's owners J.A. Mitchell at full cask strength in 2017 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Edinburgh branch of their Cadenhead's Whisky Shop.
This 14-year-old Springbank 2003 was matured full term (not finished) in a cask that formerly held Guadeloupe rum and was bottled without colouring or chill filtration, yielding just 186 bottles at 57.1%, equivalent to 100-proof in the old UK imperial measuring system. Springbank works brilliantly in rum casks, and this commemorative bottling is highly sought after by collectors.

Complex with subtle dried citrus, raisins as I would usually like in a sherry cask but something (the smoke, grape skins ? from the sherry cask?) unwelcome reminds me of grappa.
