A small batch Bowmore Islay single malt whisky released by the distillery for the Feis Ile Collection 2016. This is one of three Festival bottlings for that year.
This one is a no-age-statement matured in a combination of American Virgin Oak & European Oloroso Sherry Casks which produced 1,500 bottles, all of which are unchillfiltered with natural colour and bottled at a cask strength of 54.9% ABV.

Complex with subtle dried citrus, raisins as I would usually like in a sherry cask but something (the smoke, grape skins ? from the sherry cask?) unwelcome reminds me of grappa.
