Description

Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled By: Douglas McGibbon 70cl / 43%

A 1982 Port Ellen 19-year-old, bottled back in 2002 by Douglas Laing for their McGibbon's Provenance series at 43%. Cask #2733 was a sherry cask, according to the tasting notes on the label.

These Port Ellen casks appeared by the dozen from Douglas Laing in the Noughties, and everyone should be very thankful that they were all bottled without colouring or chill filtration - the natural gold colour on this Provenance 1982 Port Ellen comes entirely from the sherry cask in which it was matured.
