A great one from the vaults - this Glenglassaugh 1986 was bottled in 2009 by Gordon & MacPhail for their MacPhail's Collection series. Glenglassaugh is rare because of its sporadic production history, and in fact it closed the same year that this whisky was distilled and was silent for more than twenty years until production resumed after the Scaent Group purchased the distillery in 2008.
Now owned by Brown-Forman through its Benriach Distillery Co. subsidiary, Glenglassaugh will not have new long-aged stock for a while yet, so these old G&M versions are perfect for anyone looking for well-matured Glenglassaugh.
