This 1990 vintage from Old Pulteney was aged in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks that previously held peated whisky, this has resulted in a slight tang of peat smoke along with the usual muscular coastal and sightly waxy Pulteney hallmarks. A big, complex and powerful highland malt. Terrific stuff.
