Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 48.4%
Blair Athol distillery ought to be celebrated for so much more than just pumping out muscular Highland single malt whisky for the Bells blend. Unfortunately that task still falls to the indie bottlers - or perhaps not so unfortunately, as they do such an excellent job of it.
Douglas Laing have selected this Blair Athol 2008 and bottled it for their Old Particular range as a 12-year-old from a single refill hogshead, producing 262 bottles at a heartwarming 48.4%. If you want to find out what Blair Athol is really all about, it's difficult to think of a better place to start.
