An old litre bottle of Courvoisier's VSOP cognac, made entirely with Fine Champagne eaux-de-vie. This would have been bottled probably around the late 1980s or early 1990s soon after the Josephine bottle with the elongated neck was introduced.
Fine Champagne is not an appellation in and of itself, but is used to signify that the cognacs used in the assemblage for this Courvoisier VSOP came exclusively from the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne regions, the two most prestigious growing areas in Cognac.
