This 25-year-old Caroni 1997 came from single cask 25, a refill hogshead that yielded 204 bottles at an impressive natural cask strength of 56.8%. This phenomenal cask was selected by Adelphi for bottling as part of their 30th Anniversary series of releases and the official tasting notes - vintage Riesling, paraffin, old car, plantain, marzipan, orange pith, tamarind, and spearmint - point to a fantastically layered spirit that deserves its stellar reputation among single cask rum aficionados.
