The English Whisky Sherry Cask is the first sherry-matured English single malt whisky in The English Distillery's core range, making its debut in 2023, 17 years after the distillery commenced operations in 2006.
Bottled at 46% without colouring or chill filtration, The English Whisky Sherry Cask was very celarly well worth the wait, scooping the top prize of World's Best Single Malt Whisky at the World Whiskies Awards 2024. This Sherry Cask expression is designed to be one of three ongoing core English single malt whiskies in the distillery's range for the foreseeable future, but may well be hard to come by for the next year or two after its big win.
No wonder this won an award, it’s gorgeous….and it’s English! Will definitely buy again.
