Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled By: Duncan Taylor 70cl / 54.8%
A 1980 Glenlochy 27-year-old bottled by Duncan Taylor in 2007 without colouring or chill filtration for their Rarest of the Rare series.
This Rarest of the Rare 27-year-old Glenlochy 1980 came from a single cask 2454 that yielded 278 bottles at its natural cask strength of 54.8%. Glenlochy closed in 1983 and only a hundred or so bottlings exist - these later vintages generally tend towards the coastal, waxy, austere, citrussy, old school Highland style of which Glenlochy was one of the best exponents.

Yes, a lovely expression from Ardnmurchan. As young as it is (5yrs old I believe), it tastes twice its maturity!
Very well made, delicious & beautifully complex smells & flavours to savour.
