Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Mossburn Distillers 70cl / 56.5%
A single cask Linkwood 2007 bottled as a 14-year-old by Mossburn Distillers for their Vintage Casks range. This was bottled without colouring or chill filtration from a Cognac barrel, Cask 10.0507.SC3, yielding 243 bottles at its natural cask strength of 56.5%.
Linkwood is a great 'platform' whisky - its spirit has a strong structure and clean, fresh character, which is why it's so highly prized by blenders. When combined with a Cognac cask - most likely a finishing cask rather than full term maturation - we'd wager that this 14-year-old Linkwood 2007 will be delicious.
