Benrinnes distillery's working operations changed in 2007 from partial triple distillation to straight double distillation, so in contrast to the sherry-matured editions that are more often available, this first-fill bourbon hogshead cask-matured Carn Mor Strictly Limited 2008 vintage 12-year-old Benrinnes is a rare early chance to taste the difference in the distillery's spirit character after the change.
