Macallan Rare Cask Black was bottled at a sturdy drinking strength of 48% from a small batch of American and European oak sherry-seasoned casks and is distinguished from other Macallan limited editions by the addition of some unusual peated Macallan to the assemblage, ensuring a pleasingly piquant smokiness alongside the luxurious sherried flavours.
