Something of a historical relic nowadays, Longmorn 16-year-old was something of a disappointment when it was launched but thankfully that appears to have been a temporary glitch. These current batches are back up to terrific again.
While not as tropical as older stock from this legendary distillery this modern bottling is a fantastic showcase of oily, mineraled and citrus fruity Longmorn, loads of distillery character with super clean, very well integrated cask influence. A wonderful sherried Speysider of the highest calibre.
