Description

Highland Single Grain Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 49.2%

A superb old single grain whisky from Invergordon, distilled in May 1993 and matured for 30 years in refill barrel DL17792 before being bottled by Douglas Laing in March 2024 for their prestigious Xtra Old Particular Black series.

Invergordon is one of Scotland’s best-known grain distilleries, located in the northern Highlands and producing whisky primarily for the blending industry using continuous column stills. Extended maturation can work particularly well with Invergordon, developing the distillery’s lighter spirit into a rich, sweet and creamy style with plenty of mature oak influence.

This 30-year-old Invergordon was bottled at a natural cask strength of 49.2%, without colouring or chill filtration, with a very small outturn of just 96 bottles. The release celebrates the Year of the Dragon and The Whisky Library’s 10th anniversary.

Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone! Please note that due to the size and nature of this batch of stock, some labels and boxes may show signs of wear.
