A single cask Glenlossie 1975 12-year-old released by independent bottlers The Scotch Malt Whisky Society in 1987 with the Society cask number 46.1, indicating that this was the first ever Society bottling from Glenlossie.
This 12-year-old Glenlossie 1975 SMWS 46.1 was bottled without colouring or chill filtration at its hefty natural cask strength of 58.5%. We don’t know anything about the cask type for this one, but it’s a splendid colour and looks very promising. Glenlossie is a particularly obscure Speyside workhorse distillery but has proven a happy hunting ground for the Society, who’ve released over 150 bottlings from distillery No.46 in the years since.
