Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 50%
A single cask Laphroaig 1987 21-year-old Islay single malt whisky released by independent bottlers Douglas Laing in 2009 as part of the Old Malt Cask range.
This 21-year-old Laphroaig 1987 was bottled without colouring or chill filtration from single cask 4855, a refill hogshead cask that yielded 439 bottles at a hearty 50%, Douglas Laing's preferred strength for the Old Malt Cask series. Laphroaig's 1980s distillate was generally brilliant and this 21-year-old is a beaut.
