The 2021 Classic Malts Distillers Edition Lagavulin is from the 2006 vintage and, as ever, has received its secondary maturation in sweet Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, adding a deep layer of dried fruity sweetness to complement the whisky's trademark tarry smoke and vanilla honey style.
Lagavulin generally vies with Talisker as the best Distillers Edition (just like in the standard Classic Malts) - which one is better comes down to individual preference, but if you're a fan of peat and sherry whisky combos, this Distillers Edition Lagavulin 2006 is a must-try.
